Li Syaoran (李 小狼)

Li Syaoran comes from a clan of sorcerers in Hong Kong. He is a distant relative of Clow Reed as Clow's mother also a member of the clan. He arrives in Japan with the believe that he should be the one who inherits the Clow Cards instead of Sakura. Initially, he antagonizes her. Slowly and especially when he sees that Sakura is officially deemed to be the new master of the Cards, he develops a liking for her. He even makes a stuffed teddy bear just for her. However, Sakura is oblivious to his feelings and takes him as a best friend.

Syaoran also has an attraction to Yukito, often blushing and running away at the sight of him. Before he shows interest in Sakura, he always competes with her to win the affections of Yukito. It's later discovered that his attraction to Yukito could be the result of the magical power residing in him (Yue). Meanwhile, Sakura is really in love with Yukito.

Syaoran is not in good terms with Toya and Kero-chan/Cerberus. They always fight with each other whenever they meet.

Syaoran has a cousin-cum-fiancee named Li Meiling who comes all the way from Hong Kong to Japan just to be with him. Nevertheless, he only treats her as a sister.
