Brief Introduction:
Sailor Moon was created by the Japanese manga artist Naoko Takeuchi. The plot spans five major story arcs - the Dark Kingdom arc (Sailormoon), the Black Moon arc (Sailormoon R), the Infinity arc (Sailormoon S), the Dream arc (Sailormoon Super S) and the Stars arc (Sailor Stars).
The Sailor Senshi are divided into two subgroups. Eventhough Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon are members of the Sailor Team, they are not included in either subgroups.
Guardian Senshi/Inner Senshi
- The inner senshi consist of 4 senshi who serve as Sailor Moon's closest protectors, named for the 4 innermost planets of the solar system. They are Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter.
Outer Senshi
- The outer senshi are those who defend the solar system from external threats, named after the furthest from the sun. They are Sailor Saturn, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto.
Earth is represented by Tuxedo Mask.
Besides the above-mentioned senshi, there are many other senshi throughout the galaxy. These include Sailor Galaxia, who was once the most power Sailor Senshi in existence, and Sailor Starlights (Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Star Healer and Sailor Star Maker).
