Summary:
Sakura is the princess of Clow kingdom, which is ruled by her brother King Toya. When Sakura has vision of a mysterious symbol and places she has never seen, she is revealed to be possessing unknown powers. One day, Syaoran, Sakura's childhood friend and an archeologist, sees ghostly wings appear on Sakura's back and a strange force begins pulling her into the wall of ruins. Though he manages to save her, Sakura's wings are scattered across dimensions. High Priest Yukito realizes that the wings were the manifestation of Sakura's soul and memories and without them, she'll die eventually. Thus, Yukito sends Syaoran and the unconcious Sakura to the Dimensional Witch Yuuko in order for them to travel across dimensions to gather back Sakura's wings. There he meets a ninja who's banished from his own world and determined to go back (Kurogane) and a magician who fled from his world to avoid the King (Fai D. Fluorite). Each of them must pay a price: for Kurogane, it is his sword Ginryou; for Fai, it is the tattoo on his back that regulates his control of magic; and for Syaoran, it is the relationship with Sakura, that is Sakura will not remember Syaoran even if she's able to retrieve her wings. Accompany them on their adventure is a white creature named Mokona Modoki.
